Self-locking and self-resetting cannot be distinguished from the outlook. From the internal structure, the self-locking type has an additional locking structure. Usually, to distinguish whether it is self-locking or self-resetting switch, we just need to press it. lf it is locked afterbeing pressed and released, it is called self-locking. lf it directly returns to its original position after being pressed and released,it is called self-resetting.
The operating principle of a Push Button Switch is based on mechanical pressure triggering the circuit to close or open. The core of the switch is to change the contact state of the internal contacts through external force,thereby achieving circuit connection or disconnection. lts working process can be divided into three stages:"unpressed state", "pressed state", and “reset process”. The difference between different types (such as self-resetting and self-locking) are mainly reflected in the reset mechanism.

Metal push-button switches can be classified based on the shape of their heads into: ball-head push-button switches, flat-head push-button switches, and convex-head push-button switches. mushroom-head key switches, knob key switches, and keyed key switches. Additionally, the heads can be customized with various different identification symbols. Based on different hole diameters, they can be categorized into 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 16mm, 19mm, 22mm, 25mm, and 30mm.
