It functions as a robust memory card connector, featuring a smooth "push-push" mechanism that securely locks the card in place and ejects it with a tactile click. Unlike a typical micro sd card socket, this unit incorporates a physical Write Protect switch, adding a layer of hardware-level data security. The housing is constructed from high-temperature thermoplastics to withstand SMT reflow. As a heavy-duty alternative to a delicate micro sd card connector, the SD-2652 ensures reliable 9-pin data transmission and mechanical stability for critical recording devices.

Push-Push Ejection: The connector utilizes an internal spring and cam system where the user pushes the SD card inward to latch it into the read/write position and pushes it again to release the lock for removal.
Switch Activation: Upon insertion the card physically depresses the Card Detect lever to signal the CPU while the Write Protect sensor reads the position of the slide tab on the card casing.
Contact Engagement: As the card slides into the housing the nine precision-stamped gold-plated contacts wipe against the card pads removing surface oxidation to establish a secure data path.
